Because This is Who I Am

This is who I am

I’m a dreamer

I’m an achiever

I’m a person with a vision

This is what I do

I reflect

I plan

I work hard,

And, keep going

Toward the finish line.

And then, I repeat

I don’t believe in impossible

I don’t believe in what ifs

I take a leap

I move forward

And, when I fail,

I only learn

I have a reason to exist

I have a desire to satisfy

I have a dream to realize

And, I have a life to fully live

I will not sit still

I will not rest and watch

And, I will not complain

Even if I fail,

I will not stop trying

Because this is who I am,

I’m a believer

I’m a go-getter

I’m a pillar

And with that,

I create my own future

I have never written a poem before. And, this is my first attempt; only if this can be called a poem!! And to be honest, I don’t know what the rules of poem writing are, or how to write them properly. I was just feeling a little bit demotivated, so I started writing, and I ended up with this piece of writing.
